Former Railstars striker, Master Masitara is reported to be headed to Mozambican premier soccer league outfit,

Liga Musculumane as a direct replacement for Edward Sadomba who is now  turning out for Sudanese champions, Al Hilal. Sadomba left the club after playing for them for six months and scoring seven goals and the club has been looking for a top striker and have settled for Masitara.

Masitara, who since 2007 has been plying his trade in the Botswana Mobile league for Nico United is a goal scoring machine who has over 35 goals in his two seasons in Botswana. According to media reports from Botswana, Liga Musculumane are said to have to have tabled a hefty US$ 43 000 for the player but no indications were made as to when the player is leaving for Mozambique.

Currently in Bulawayo and training with his former club, Railstars, Masitara said that his move is set to expand his experience in football. “ I believe that for a player to grow, you have to be exposed to different leagues. African football is improving as you can see that clubs from small footballing nations like Sudan and DRC are doing well in the CAF champions league”, he said. “ Our football is good but there's no financial motivation and thus my move is also based on improving my financial base”, he added.

In his maiden season in Botswana, Masitara scored a total of 28 goals in all competitions and scored 17 in the last season. A number of Botswana clubs are reported to have been keen on signing the Zimbabwean player. Clubs such as Mochudi Centre Chiefs, who are the defending champions and Gaborone United, a club which former AmaZulu and Warriors player, Sageby Sandaka is playing for were said to be interested in Masitara.
