The Bulawayo Progressive Residents Association (BPRA) says it is backing attempts to block the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority ZESA from inviting expressions of interest in utilising the Bulawayo Thermal Power Station by individual customers and also calling for an audit to be carried out.

Sibanda death exposes GNU divisions

The death of MDC vice-president, Gibson Sibanda early this week has exposed divisions in the government of national unity as the Mutambara-led grouping has expressed sharp differences with ZANU PF on its monopoly over the granting of the national hero status.

Gibson Sibanda succumbs to cancer

Vice-president of the Movement for Democratic Change Gibson Sibanda has died. Officials of the MDC confirmed that Sibanda succumbed to cancer in the early hours of today. He was 66 years old.
